For years we've supported small farmers and makers by bringing locally-grown produce and Alabama-made goods to the Birmingham communities! During summer months, we offer fun activities like chef demos, maker talks, book signings, weekly children's activities, live music and more. We're excited to help improve fresh food access through accepting SNAP/EBT each Saturday.
This week, our special thanks go out to Creative Montessori School (CMS), who are looking after the Children's Tent at the Market (sponsored by Pepsi/Fruit Shoot), and providing fun crafts and activities every Saturday in September and into mid-October. CMS is a remarkable place for children to learn and grow. They're celebrating 50 years of excellence in Montessori education this year - quite an achievement! As they shared with us, "CMS offers students ages 18 months – 8thgrade an unparalleled private school education in a warm and loving atmosphere where the focus is on the individual child. CMS enrolls 250 students from 21 zip codes and is located on a 2-acre campus in Homewood. For more information, visit cmskids.org or call (205) 879-3278."
On behalf of kids and parents at the Market and in Birmingham, thank you!
