The indoor winter farmers market, which opened Saturday, January 19, is held each Saturday through April 6. The indoor market is located inside the Martin Biscuit Building on 29th Street South by the Red Cat Coffeehouse.
The outdoor farmers market begins Saturday, April 13 and will be held each Saturday through December 14. The outdoor market has three areas of tents with farmers, makers and food vendors, live music, chef demos at 9 am and maker talks at 10 am. This market is located outside, in the “big parking lot” off 2nd Ave. South, on 29th Street South and in the Martin Biscuit Building parking lot.
Remember, we are only open on Saturday mornings!
Both the indoor and outdoor farmers market hours are 7:00 am - 12:00 pm, rain or shine. We are open on holiday weekends.
Have you seen our weekly Vendor Lists? We upload the list of the vendors scheduled to attend each market because most Saturdays you’ll find a different variety of makers and food vendors! Our farmers usually keep a consistent schedule throughout the growing seasons.

For almost 20 years we've supported small farmers and makers by bringing locally-grown produce and Alabama-made goods to the Birmingham communities! During summer months, we offer fun activities like chef demos, maker talks, book signings, weekly children's activities, live music and more. We're excited to help improve fresh food access through accepting SNAP/EBT each Saturday.
Enjoy free public wifi year-round at the Market at Pepper Place! It's a thing this season because we love our shoppers and vendors that much.
