Ivory LeShore III, a native of Mobile, Alabama, grew up in a traditional household with one brother, where they were raised by both parents. In 1990, after graduating high school, Ivory moved to Birmingham, Alabama to attend college. While attending college, Ivory started working with Bruno's Grocery Corporation in the deli. In addition to working with Bruno's, Ivory has also worked closed with local Chef Franklin Biggs at Homewood Gourmet.

Fast forward to 2010 and after much thought and consideration, Ivory decided to suspend his full service catering business due to competing demands! MONROE SAUSAGE

At the Market, Monroe Sausage is known for their homemade, ready-to-eat sausage biscuits! Grab a biscuit and enjoy a hot breakfast while you shop. Be sure to take home a package of their medium or hot frozen sausage to enjoy throughout the week, too.

Monroe Sausage is as rich in history as its flavor. The original company became a household name in Monroe County, Alabama way back in the late 1940's when they threw sausage biscuits from their float during the annual "Monroeville Hog Festival".

That company was eventually sold to partners who then set out to make the best sausage anyone had ever tasted. They spent months working on the recipe and experimenting with spices and seasonings. Words is they even had to go all the way to Atlanta to get the seasonings they needed to make it just right! Well, people loved it. In fact, you could hardly find a family gathering or cookout that didn't feature Monroeville Brand Smoked Sausage. Kids grew up with it as part of their lives. And as it's fame and flavor spread through word of mouth, it wasn't unusual for folks from all over Alabama to get you to pick 'em up a bunch if they heard you were passin' through Monroe County. Enjoy the delicious smokiness of the legendary Hickory Smoked Monroe Sausage each week at The Market!

So from a young age she began saving her allowance so she could attend culinary school. Working three jobs while attending school, Heather made big strides towards achieving her goal of opening her own neighborhood restaurant and in 2010, Pop's opened it's doors!

Heather named it after her father, calling it Pop's Neighborhood Grill. She decided to continue the tradition of the perfect Birmingham hot dog and used recipes created by her father back in 1978. Her simple menu is classic breakfast and lunch fare and she continues to work hard to make her grills tyle foods the best they can be. You can find Heather, her father and her new husband behind the counter Monday through Friday cooking up a fresh, hot breakfast and lunch. Saturdays they bring their big smiles and great food to The Market!

The Red Cat Coffeehouse

The Red Cat Coffeehouse

THE RED CAT COFFEEHOUSE

When we opened The Red Cat in 2008, we wanted to create a coffeehouse that struck a balance between our own personal tastes in coffee and ambiance, what our customers desired, and what makes practical sense.  We didn't want blindly to follow the third wave of coffee culture without questioning every aspect of it to see if it is right for us. There are times when coffee is not a science experiment, but a positive experience for the customer.

The Red Cat offers locally brewed, hot coffee by the cup or by the bag each Saturday at the Market! The Coffeehouse is located in Pepper Place if customers would like indoor seating and specialty coffees with food options.

Thula's Homemade Vinaigrette and Marinade is a true Alabama-made product. The recipe was passed down from Thula's grandmother. The 150 year old recipe is used in making both of Thula's vinaigrettes - one is made with cider vinegar and the other is made with balsamic vinegar. It is a salad dressing that is perfect to use on tossed salads, citrus salads, pasta salads, fresh tomatoes, avocados, or freshly cooked asparagus.
