There are many styles of Bar-B-Q, some specific to regions and others to individuals. Jim 'n Nick's style is a result of a labor of love developed by Jim Pihakis and his son Nick Pihakis, and has been passed on to local owners across the country.
In 1985, Jim and Nick opened the first Jim 'n Nick's Bar-B-Q on Clairmont Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. Today there are 35 Jim 'n Nick's locations in Colorado, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Jim 'n Nick's proudly makes all of their food fresh daily, and smokes their meats around the clock to ensure only the freshest, highest quality product. After 31 years, the company's commitment to traditional recipes, genuine community service, and a deep respect and appreciation for their customers, has set them apart from the rest.
Jim 'n Nick's has a deep respect for traditional food ways and proudly supports the Southern Foodways Alliance. The company is also passionate about community involvement and partners with numerous local non-profits such as Magic Moments, United Way, Ronald McDonald House, Camp Smile-A-Mile, and others who share in the spirit of caring for the community.
